Quincy Solano


Quincy Solano is the president & COO of Technology News Bytes which profiles the people, products, services and organizations of Hawaii’s information technology community. Technology News Bytes has grown over the past 13 years as Hawaii’s exclusive information, media and events company having won the 2005 Journalist of the Year Award from the United States Small Business Administration (SBA). His extensive network serves as the basis for keeping the pulse of the IT industry both in Hawaii and globally, and for overseeing all relationships and content for TNB products, events and publications.

Being an avid Social Medialite, another term for a person who is savvy or a “regular” on social media, Mr. Solano has been working with technology since its inception and maximizes its use for marketing, public relations, and business branding.
Mr. Solano has worked his way up in the local IT industry for over seven years, starting out as a Help Desk Technician and working as a professional recruiter for the IT industry.  Solano enjoys tracking industry trends and brings this and his exuberant energy to his current position.

A graduate of DeVry University with a Masters in Business Administration, Mr. Solano also founded the local publication Hue Magazine and is also in the U.S. Army Reserve, holding the rank of staff sergeant.

Yancey Unequivocally

Yancey has been an entrepreneur at heart. After graduating with a B.S. in Management Information Systems, Yancey moved on to get an MBA in Network Security. She quickly realized that she wanted to own her own company. She is the Founder and President of Empowered Presentations that is an award-winning presentation design firm with clients all over the world.

In December 2010, just after launching the business, they won the World’s Best Presentation contest from slideshare.net sponsored by 3M. Empowered Presentations is on front-page feature story in Pacific News Bytes Spring Issue, a Local Hawaii Technology Magazine. Her company also served TedxHonolulu where Yancey is on the Executive Board and helps sharpen the presenters slideware to improve the clarity and impact of the speakers ideas.

Pacific Business News recognized Yancey for “40 under Forty Class of 2011”, “Innovative Company of the Year” finalist, Nominated for “Best in Business and Innovative Business” and “20 for the Next 20″ in Hawaii Business Magazine & “Best New Business” finalist with Pacific Edge Magazine. “ Her company has also been written about on Forbes.com and InDezine.com.

Yancey has spoken at many events and trained on stages with over 1,500 in attendance. She has also been a guest speaker on many WebCast shows all over the world. Yancey is a true leader in her community, serves her church ministries, and is enthusiastic to help people achieve anything and everything they desire! Yancey’s high energy, positive mental attitude, strong work ethic, and leadership skills have been vital to the success of many of her clients and their organizations
